The Skype plugin is designed to provide a Console interface for the bot from Skype. It interfaces with your running copy of Skype via the Skype API and let's users interact with RadioBot.

Hostmask

Your hostmask under Skype will be [email protected], so don't forget to add it with +host if you want to be recognized!

Notes - Win32

The Skype plugin will interface with Skype running on the same desktop as you run the bot in. - This is a limitation of the Skype API communication mechanism and nothing can be done about it.

Notes - Linux

You must run RadioBot in an X session (whether a real X session or a VNC session) because the Skype API uses X communications to talk to the plugin. D-BUS may also be supported in the future, however you would still have to run RadioBot in an X session for it as well. The Skype plugin will interface with Skype running on the same X session as you run the bot in.

Configuration

See the Configuration page.

Dependencies

The Skype plugin requires the TTS Services plugin to be loaded.
